About Carey Springs Farm Facilities
Carey Springs Farm is a picturesque property with board fencing spanning a little over 9 acres, situated near the scenic Miles Landing Campgrounds and the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area. The farm features two large barns, each uniquely equipped to support our diverse range of activities and services.
Barn One: Equine Assisted Learning Arena
- Size: The barn houses a spacious 100×66 square foot arena.
- Purpose: This arena is designed specifically for equine-assisted learning activities, providing ample space for various interactive and therapeutic sessions with our horses.
Barn Two: Insulated Barn with Stalls and Amenities
- Structure: This fully insulated barn includes five inside stalls and four outside stalls, offering comfortable and secure accommodations for our horses.
- Mini Horse Escape/Lean-to: A dedicated area for our mini horse, ensuring his comfort and safety.
- Shop Area: The shop is equipped with modern conveniences, including air conditioning, a microwave, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker, providing a comfortable and functional space for staff and visitors.
60×60 Labyrinth
- Design: A 60×60-square-foot labyrinth is available on the property. It offers a unique and contemplative space for guided walks and mindfulness activities, adding an element of tranquility and introspection to complement our equine-assisted programs.
Equine Residents
- Horses: Our herd consists of four horses (Ty, Sam, Coach, and HotShot) and one charming mini-horse (Henry), each playing a vital role in our equine-assisted learning programs and other activities on the farm.
