The barn hand/horse handler will assist with barn/farm maintenance, horse grooming/feeding, preparing the arena for events, and horse handling during EAL events and practice activities.
Job duties will include:
- Daily routine care for horses, including brushing, feeding, stall cleaning, and grounds clean-up
- Grounds work (mowing, weed-eating, fence repair, arena raking)
- Greet clients in a friendly manner
- Handle horses during horse activities
- Set up the arena for activities
Some duties require heavy lifting.
Video surveillance is used to ensure horse safety. Employees must consent to be recorded.

Job requirements:
- Experience with horses required.
- Starting pay is $10.10 – $18.36/per hour, based on experience. Hours are irregular, but you can expect 15 -20 hours per week, sometimes more.
- Must be able to work early mornings (6:00 a.m.) at least two days per week
- Two references, including one from a recent employer
