Carey Springs Farm Arena Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting
On September 24, Carey Springs Farm celebrated the Grand Opening of our new arena with over 30 guests in attendance. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony was conducted by Ambassadors from the Evansville Regional Partnership, marking a significant milestone for our farm.

Though the day began with a brief shower, the much-needed rain quickly passed, and the event unfolded under clear skies. Featured on two local news stations and an internet media outlet, the celebration showcased the growing influence of Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) in the region.
|
Along with owners Cathy and Bruce Carey, we heard from three incredible speakers: Kat Draughon, Owner and CEO at Parker’s Place Equine and Farm Services LLC; Misty Wathen-Baker, Owner of The Bridges Program and Gentle Hooves Riding Academy; and Sky Epperson, Owner of the Mustang Adoption Academy. Each speaker highlighted the transformative benefits of equine-assisted programs, emphasizing their role in team training, therapy, and veterans programs.

The event also featured door prizes, including t-shirts and Everything DiSC profiles, which added an extra layer of excitement for attendees. Guests had the chance to meet our horses up close and the opportunity to participate in a structured labyrinth exercise. While not everyone stayed for the planned horse activity, all guests had the opportunity to experience the new arena firsthand.
